Over the past few years I’ve had major challenges with my Yukon. Automotive Unlimited was quick to understand the issues and work with my warranty service to resolve them. They do a great job explaining the what and why something is broken or needs to be serviced, while helping you navigate the urgency of what needs to be fixing immediately vs a later date. I absolutely recommend them!

First time visit to Automotive Unlimited and was very pleased. I had taken my vehicle to two other repair shops, and the same issue kept returning. I stopped by Automotive Unlimited, spoke with Will who outlined a step by step plan to identify root cause of the issue; they solved the problem and at cost that was 50% less than other quotes I had received. I really liked their systematic approach and good communication. Thanks Automotive Unlimited!

I had an appointment scheduled this morning and ran into issues similar to other posted feedback on this business recently. First, they incorrectly booked me for the wrong day, incorrect pricing charges (doubled in priced after the car was in the shop), owner was unfriendly and cared about profits over people and didn't admit to his business making a mistake. Owner (Nick told me I wasn't a good fit as a customer) Misleading 5 Star Reviews!

We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with your recent experience. We understand how frustrating it can be when a repair costs more than expected. The quote you received over 90 days ago was given as a courtesy over the phone, before we had the chance to inspect the vehicle in person. As we explain at the time of quoting, estimates made without seeing the vehicle are based on the information provided and may change once we’re able to properly assess the condition and part compatibility. In your case, the original part discussed was not designed for your specific truck model. Once we had the vehicle in our shop, we identified the correct part needed to complete the repair safely and properly and notified you of price—which unfortunately came at a higher cost. We value transparency and always aim to provide accurate estimates, but in cases where we have not seen the vehicle, we do our best based on limited information. As a courtesy to you we waved the testing time fees for the time we spent looking at your vehicle for the multiple concerns you brought it in for. If there’s anything we can do to help further or if you’d like to discuss this again, we’d be happy to speak with you—please feel free to call the shop.

So happy with my experience here! I had a terrifying breakdown on the highway where my van started accelerating by itself. Automotive Unlimited's staff were helpful and communicative, and worked really hard to track down the problem. Before this, I didn't have a mechanic I trusted in the area. I do now, and I'll be back (hopefully not super soon 😅) thanks for everything, y'all!

Today was my first time visiting Automotive Unlimited and it definitely won't be the last! My sister and father have been coming here for years and now I see why. First off, everyone is very friendly and attentive. Secondly, they take pictures of the inspection and send it to you in an email so you have them for your records. Thirdly, they actually brought me back into the garage to have me look at certain things so I knew what they were describing when telling me the problems that my car had. I am so happy with the service, I don't think I'll go anywhere else ever again as long as I live in the state of Minnesota. I appreciate everything you guys do! Thank you so much!

10/10 I have brought my cars here a few times. Will (I believe was his name at front desk) on the phone and in person is very helpful and amazing to work with!! All I needed done was an inspection on my engine and they did just that!!! I will definitely bring my car here again!

About a year ago, my car was in an accident, the front left tirod/joint snapped right off and folded my wheel. Not a fun situation. My car was towed to the shop and left there. The staff were excellent and took care of everything. At the end of the day, I was very happy with the bill amount and I was good to go. It's worth alot more though to know you've got good people looking out for you. Hard to put a price on that. Thanks again.

I've been taking both of my cars here for years. The people are great. They will always tell you if something is really required or just something to keep an eye on for now. They have always done great work and the one time after a repair where I still had an issue, they took the car back in and made it right, no questions asked. They are a great company to have in Chanhassen.

Our family has been going to Automotive Unlimited for at least 7 cars and we were agin impressed with our experience. We had a major car repair and Automotive Unlimited was excellent with their communication, upfront with their pricing, and when everything was done they looked back on the service history of the car and saw that they had replaced a part a couple years ago. It was still under warrantee, and even though they may not be reimbursed for labor under the warrantee, they took that off anyway saving us 100's of dollars. We highly recommend them!

We have been bringing our company vehicles to Automotive Unlimited for several years now for maintenance and repairs. We have been extremely pleased with their service. They always look over the entire vehicle for us, let us know what we should take care of immediately, and also what can wait. A trustworthy auto shop is a must, and we've found that with Nick, Sean and the staff at Automotive Unlimited!....And they have loaners available most of the time so we don't have any wasted time in the waiting area.

Automotive Unlimited correctly diagnosed the problems, fixed the problems properly and in a timely manner, and completed the service at a reasonable amount. In addition, the staff were friendly and helpful and discussed all options in completing the repairs!

I was looking for a new repair shop to bring my 01 Mazda to, because in the past I’ve went to iffy shops that don’t treat me and my car as they should be treated. I am SO impressed with my first experience here. From the moment I called to come in the same day, they were so nice and welcoming. I brought my car for an oil change and inspection. They openly listened to some of my concerns and made sure to check them out. I was given honest repair recommendations from brakes being only half worn and then even a couple bulbs being out that I had no idea we’re out. No BS whatsoever. They answered all of my questions thoroughly. I’m actually looking forward to continue to bring my cars here for any repairs that come up. I highly recommend!! Update: I've been coming here consistently for the last 2 years for all the cars I've had (including my stubborn 06 Saab) and they've always made sure my car leaves the shop running great. Sean, Nick, Bri, Nicki, and the technicians are all very kind and knowledgable people.

I’m new to area, in the mail I received a birthday/new customer gift card. I usually throw things like that away but I kept it and when it was time for an oil change I remembered that I had the coupon. I called and made an appointment, everything went great and I also asked them to check about a rattling. They told me it was a heat shield, I thought great! Finally have a name for it so we can fix it. At first i thought the heat shield issue was addressed by the next day the rattle was back. So I went back in and the mechanic looked at it again. I asked the receptionist If it was taken care of and she said that on my 2010 Nissan Altima that there are over 20 heart shields on my car and that they may need to tinker around more with it. The rattle came back so I saw a different mechanic and told him about my situation and he was nice enough to lift my car and show me what and where my heat shields were. He told me that were giving me inaccurate information and misleading me. I will not be coming back.
